Richard Zahn’s 33 years of leadership and management experience have allowed him to assemble a national award - winning team. His distinguished military service and training influenced the philosophy of a service culture and promotes the highest levels of loyalty, professionalism and integrity: this provides definitive characteristics and key to continued success. Under the guidance of Mr. Zahn, and his investments through the trust, they have completed in-house and performed work on more than 1300 projects with a combined total value of more than $3.4 billion.
Industry Professional Licenses: Mr. Zahn is a current Multi-State Licensed GC - AL, TN, LA, VA, NJ, NV. Corporately we are Licensed as GC’s in FL, SC, NC, KY, TX, GA, CA, AZ, U T, NY, MD, OK.
Education: Mr. Zahn studied, and received his AS at Fayetteville State College in EMS - Fire Science, Hazardous Materials, and received his National Registered Paramedic. Studied at University of Maryland Overseas campus while stationed with the 10th Special Forces Grp, FRG - Germany, BS University of NC Pembroke while stationed with the 8th PSYOPS Grp - Fort Bragg, NC (army college dual enrollment program while at the JFK Special Warfare School), National CMR Certified - IAQA, Certified EPA Asbestos operator, Post Grad Studies Notre Dame Univ - 2012 (Army College Fund), GEO Tech studies - Industrial Hygienist course curriculum. Currently, Mr. Zahn is enrolled at Embry Riddle College – School of Engineering working through his Masters in Mechanical Engineering curriculum. Law Enforcement History: He is a graduate of the SC Law Enforcement Academy, and served 6 years attaining the rank of Patrol Capt - SWAT team commander for the Orangeburg County Sheriff's office. He is a graduate of the US Air Marshall Academy - "Flying Armed", graduated of the Advanced Sniper operations course (FBI - Conroe TX facility), graduate of the State Dept Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) DT - 303 course, Florida Swat Association Sniper 1 & 2 course grad, FEMA Incident command ICS 100 - 200 - 700 - 800 course grad, Symtac Tactical Fire Arms CQB Shotgun course, rescue diver/recovery diver course certified, SC SWAT School Grad, Close Quarters Combat instructor course certified, FL Governor Crist Appointee (4 year Homeland Security Task Force - Orange County, FL) and many other Law Enforcement Special Operations courses over the 6 year history with Homeland Security/Sheriff's office.
Military History: Honor Grad US Army Basic Training, Distinguished Honor Grad AIT, Airborne School Grad, Graduate of the US Army John F. Kennedy Special Warfare Center and School - Psychological Operations while serving in the United States Army for 12 years. Multiple combat tours in various overseas countries. Combat decorated, honorably discharged January 1997.
Aviation: FAA Licenses: Private Pilot, Multi-Engine Pilot, Instrument Rated Pilot-IFR, Jet Turbine Type Rated, high altitude and complex type endorsed, tail dragger endorsed, Sea - Plane single and Multi-rated, bush plane school graduate, 40 h our US Army Helicopter - Fort Rucker, AL. Auto rotation course grad. Pilot in Command - PIC Total time to date 5260 hours. Rich currently flies 2-3 days weekly to our various projects throughout the US.
Rich and his family live in Florida. He enjoys scuba diving, piloting his own aircraft, and giving back to the community via philanthropic endeavors which focus on the issues of homelessness and Child Protective Services
